Pastor Nick Emery

Our church called Pastor Nick to be our pastor in April of 2013 and he and his family love serving this church and the community. He has served as a trained advocate with Carson City CASA and as the vice-president of Carson City Kiwanis Club. He also was a chaplain for the state legislature and has coordinated invocations for the Nevada Assembly and Senate. Currently, he leads times of prayer at the Carson City Supervisors meetings, he writes regularly for the local paper, the "Nevada Appeal" and serves on the board for Carson City CASA.

In addition to being our pastor, he was hired in the Fall of 2017 to serve as the Executive Director of Life Choices, a Christian community pregnancy center that has been a resource in our community since 1983.

Nick attended Simpson University in Redding, CA where the Lord called him into full-time ministry in the summer of 2004 while serving at a national youth conference. He has served in ministry in the Christian & Missionary Alliance and the Nazarene church before coming into the Wesleyan Movement in November of 2009. Nick is an ordained minister with the Wesleyan Church and he is a licensed leadership & ministerial coach through the Wesleyan Coaching Network.

Pastor Nick desires to raise up leaders and Christ-followers who know God and know who they are in God and will take that and share it with the world. His heart’s message is to speak the Truth of God’s holy Word boldly, impacting the lives of others and encouraging them to live holy lives.

Pastor Nick married his best friend Melanie in February of 2009 and together they have two beautiful daughters, one amazing son and their dog-son, Lincoln. And, he is a HUGE Seattle Seahawks fan.
