Trunk Or treat event
We hosted our inaugural Trunk or Treat Event this year on October 24th. We had members of our Evangelism Team out canvassing our neighborhood all month with door hangers and also placed ads on Pilgrim Radio and on the CarsonNOW! page on Social Media. We were able to hand out close to 100 pre-made bags of candy, we handed out chips and cheese-balls. One of our Members made Hot Apple Cider and LA COSINA DE ANA Mexican Food Truck Partnered with us to provide food for sale so that parents coming home from work didn't have to rush around to make dinner and pile the kiddos in the car to get to the event. It was a smashing success!

The Relighting of Our Cross at
Hope Crossing Community Church
The Noahic Covenant
Genesis 9:13 "I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth". The rainbow was the symbol of the first of many covenants that God would make with all of humanity, culminating with the final covenant, the fulfilment of the Messianic Covenant. Each of these covenants was a foreshadow of that final covenant. God set His bow in the sky to remind us that He would never again destroy the earth with an Earth-wide flood.
The symbolism of the multi-colored lighting of the cross at Hope Crossing
We decided to relight the cross here at Hope Crossing with multi-colored lights as a reminder of the Noahic covenant. This is the true meaning of the rainbow. As human beings, we tend to have short memory spans. This is why God sent us reminders of these covenants, so that when we see them, we will be reminded of His faithfulness, even if we are unfaithful!
