Baptism

The Wesleyan Church recognizes three types of Baptism, Sprinkling, Font and Immersion. We are commanded to Go Forth and Make Disciples of ALL Nations, Baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is an OUTWARD Profession of Faith and a visible sign to the outside world (outside of our bodies) that we accept God's Free Gift of Mercy, (Not getting what we deserve) and we are granted Grace (Undeserved Favor). What we deserve is death, both physical and eternal separation from God. This is due to both our sin nature (original sin) and active sins. But the Judge pronounced sentence on the guilty parties and then stepped off of the bench and paid the penalty through His death in the person of Jesus Christ, the only perfect man, yet also God!
